Position Summary The Senior Manager of Total Search will be responsible for leadership and participation within the Search Marketing Center of Excellence, building capabilities around activating a total search strategy to drive business results. Primary focus is on leveraging data and analytics to drive tangible and material retail results such as incremental sales (Front Store / Ecomm / Omni), prescriptions and vaccinations (Pharmacy), clinic visits (Minute Clinic), and adoption of health services. The Senior Manager of Total Search will orchestrate large-scale SEM programs anchored in data and managed and optimized with rigorous analytics. You will utilize advanced analytical thinking, leverage existing data sources, and unearth insights to drive overall search strategy for the organization. You will continuously evaluate search marketing strategies to unlock opportunities, identify and communicate trends in search, and be a strategic and trusted advisor for marketing partners, analytics partners, internal media colleagues, and external agency partners. You will develop hypothesis based on data trends and design tests to unlock new areas of growth. You will develop business cases that support the opportunities for increased investment in the channel. The Senior Manager of Total Search will possess a strong understanding of underlying technologies behind search engine performance, have extensive knowledge of analytics platforms (Google, Adobe), and maintain a deep understanding of e-commerce and the steps within the conversion funnel. The Senior Manager of Total Search will need to influence senior stakeholders in the organization and be able to demonstrate the on-going value of search campaigns to senior executives. You will work directly with the Omnichannel Marketing Strategy and Ecommerce teams to pursue the broader digital growth agenda. You will also lead and work directly with an agency partner (team of 8+) and internal media professionals to drive the execution of strategies. You will develop measurement plans for campaigns, ensuring that every investment is accountable and every test is measurable. You will build relationships with essential business owners and marketing partners to understand their goals and provide strategic recommendations as to how total search can help achieve those goals. This position will work with the Director of Search, business owners, marketing partners, agency partners, media campaign managers, and analytics partners. The Senior Manager of Total Search must have the ability to oversee the strategic development and execution of integrated and multi-layered search campaigns that support multiple departments and stakeholders. These campaigns may be omni-channel in nature or pure Ecomm. In addition to excellent analytical and strategic skills, you must possess strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior level stakeholders within the organization. You must be able to manage a cross-functional team comprised of diverse skills and backgrounds and lead them as a highly productive unit. The Senior Manager of Total Search will develop processes that improve workflow and proactively identify and source new business-driving opportunities. Importantly, you will manage and develop team members into a high-functioning team and develop and nurture relationships with business partners and agency leadership/working teams. This is a hybrid position working onsite 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) Required Qualifications 7 years of paid search experience with an emphasis on results-oriented programs and history tying 'brand marketing' and 'performance marketing' together 7 years of experience in one or more SEM tools, as well as in-platform experience with Google & Microsoft Ads, SA360 and Adobe 2 years of people-management experience Must be able to work onsite 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) Preferred Qualifications Thought-leader with innate curiosity and aptitude across search advertising Pharmaceutical and/or Health Services experience with a proven track record driving results Track record of developing innovative and successful data-driven search strategies Deep subject matter expertise across search, data, and analytics Experience using data and metrics to measure impact, determine improvements and optimize search performance In-depth understanding of automation, search audiences, privacy regulations and experience optimizing towards CPA or ROAS goals Have the understanding and capability to collaborate with SEO and Product teams to maximize outcomes from Total Search strategies Understands and comfortable with data and technology that facilitates audience targeting, triggering, and measurement Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to influence & impact others Strong communication skills and ability to flex style to match needs of audience Collaborative spirit and disposition with internal and external constituencies Familiarity with Media Mix Modeling and experience working with Multi-Touch Attribution Self-starter and problem-solver who can work both on a team and independently Comfort with both 'leading' and 'doing' the work and ability to identify which role to play Knowledge or experience with SEO or holistic search strategy a plus Retail experience preferred, working with product-centric search campaigns MBA Education Verifiable High School diploma or GED Bachelor's Degree Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $82,940.00 - $199,144.80 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
