Job Description Role: Senior Corporate Counsel Location: Telecommuting/remote from within the United States The Development and Engineering Legal Team within Oracle's legal department is responsible for providing legal support for all of Oracle's software development and hardware engineering organizations worldwide. The team works closely with Oracle Development executives to complete agreements between Oracle and its strategic software and hardware suppliers and to evaluate and provide legal advice with respect to inbound software licensing, open source, AI/ML, etc. Counsel coordinates the efforts of various internal organizations to ensure that Oracle contracts and software licenses comply with company policies, and takes a leadership role in defining policies, practices, and procedures within the company. As an individual contributor in the team, you will join a collaborative group of attorneys with an interesting and diverse technology law practice. This position is best suited to an attorney with a significant IP background, and commercial negotiating and contracting experience who has the ability to handle a variety of tasks, evaluate alternatives quickly, and provide top quality legal assistance and support to executive-level clients. Someone who can quickly make a significant contribution to the group is critical. This job description may not represent all the duties of the position. The Corporate Counsel may be asked to perform other related duties, as needed. People from Corporate Counsel to Managing Counsel level will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: 4+ years of relevant legal experience that includes experience with inbound Open Source licensing review, data licensing issues, and AI/ML in a technology company. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation. 11 paid holidays Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
