As a Production Software Engineer for Oracle Health, your role is to provide client-facing technical investigation and issue resolution for your assigned software products. You will be responsible for analyzing client-reported technical issues within a large, mature code base in collaboration with other Production Software Engineers, our aligned Technical Solution Analyst team, IP development engineers, the Product Management team, and client stakeholders. This position is full remote. This position requires on-call rotations. The ideal candidate has experience troubleshooting and debugging software applications in Java or C#, is comfortable navigating Linux servers through the command line, and has basic familiarity with SQL databases. Experience using Eclipse, Microsoft Visual Studio and Splunk is strongly preferred, especially in the context of client-facing technical support. Required Skills : Proficiency with one or more object-oriented language (Python, C++, C#, Java) Databases, data models, and schema (ex: Oracle MySQL) Analyze software design and code flows Access code and track changes through Git Preferred Skills : Linux OS via command line Use of JIRA in a Support and/or Dev environment Great communication skills Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) Millennium EHR Experience with Oracle Cerner Command Language (CCL) Experience with BMC Remedy incident management suite Required Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience. U.S. Citizenship on U.S. soil is required. This position requires you to be eligible to receive a federal security clearance which requires you to be a U.S. Citizen. This role requires you obtain a Public Trust clearance to support US Federal Government clients. Career Level - IC1 Responsibilities Responsibilities : Investigate and troubleshoot applications and services in Java and C# by reviewing log files Test workflows in client and internal domains. Compare functionality between code levels, check configuration settings and review source code to determine the cause and resolution of reported issues. Resolve high priority and high impact issues during on-call rotations (24x7 support for critical incidents) Write various CCL (Cerner Command Language, similar to SQL) scripts to troubleshoot production data issues Collaborate with US based and offshore IP teams to identify product defects Collaborate on cross-team and cross-product technical issues with other support teams to solve complex issues Track software updates and educate technical analysts on team about functionality changes (new features released, defects introduced, workflow changes) Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position Perform other responsibilities as assigned Disclaimer: Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates. Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only US: Hiring Range: from $52,700 to $141,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
