Job Title: Property Accountant - Commercial Real EstateLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FLEmployment Type: Full-Time, Direct HirePay: $90,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience)Work Environment: 100% OnsiteKey Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions related to property management, ensuring timely payment of vendors and accurate tenant billing.Conduct Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, ensuring proper expense allocation and tenant billing adjustments.Prepare and review property budgets and provide variance analysis to property managers and senior leadership.Collaborate with property managers and leasing teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with lease agreements.Reconcile bank accounts and tenant ledgers on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in cash management and tenant billings.Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.Prepare and provide supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and other regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate and organized accounting records for each property in accordance with company policies and industry standards.Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on commercial real estate.Strong knowledge of GAAP and commercial property accounting principles.Proficiency in property management accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.Experience with CAM reconciliations and tenant billings is required.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with property managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per yearSearch managed by: Nikki Caudill Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledTo read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:The California Fair Chance ActLos Angeles City Fair Chance OrdinanceLos Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for EmployersSan Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
