LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to work for a well known company in the Syosset, NY area. We have 2 positions open If you are open to a temp to perm, this role can be hybrid. 3 days in office, 2 days remote. If you are also not working and open to a Consultant role, fully remote, this could be a opportunity for you as well Long term temp-(3+ months). Full Time Days. (8-5, 9-6, 830-530..)Responsibilities Include:Prepare journal entries and assist with the month-end and year-end closingsPrepare and reconcile monthly bank reconciliationsReview daily bank activity for accuracyResearch and reconcile all discrepanciesAnalyze gross profit reports for monthly reporting packageAssist in analyzing inventory variances and trendsAssist with year-end certified audit requirements by investigating and resolving audit findingsAssist in the preparation of expense budgets and budget versus actual variance analysis.Variance analysis of outgoing freight to ensure reaching pricing strategiesPrepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for managementPrepare and file multi-state sales and use tax returnsAssist with additional analysis, tasks and special projects as neededAS400 system is used. Qualifications Include:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting along with 5+ years of relevant experienceExperience in wholesale, distribution, or manufacturing strongly preferredWorking knowledge of tax laws and GAAPStrong financial analysis skills.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.High level of organization and follow up skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and assignmentsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships across the organizationAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and OutlookPay: $45-55 dollars per hour.
