summary NOW HIRING O & P SPECIALIST I IN PHOENIX! $19.00/hour Monday thru Friday 6am-2:30pm The O & P Fabrication Specialist fabricates the orthoses and prostheses to provide maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship. The Fabrication Specialist is expected to keep abreast of all new fabricating techniques and must be familiar with the properties of pertinent materials and must be skilled in the use of appropriate equipment. Knowledge & Skill Requirements: Knowledge and hand skills needed to fabricate and repair prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces) according to specifications. Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools safely and effectively. Effective organizational, time management and planning skills. Good interpersonal and verbal skills for communicating with others. Ability to work effectively as a team member. Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks. Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision making. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Works under close supervision. Ability to perform tasks as indicated on following Skills Matrix. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED; no experience required.
