The Operations Manager will be responsible for all aspects of management for the Colgate processing facilities and the Shuttle operation that operates between the 2 sites. Ensure all KPI’s and metrics for the sites are met and the sustainable profitability goals are met and maintained.Site Safety & PlanningEnsuring the site is not in violation of Company,Customer, or OSHA rulesPlanning monthly safety trainingAll PPE is used as instructedCompliance with D.O.T. regulationsLabor PlanningPlan labor to follow production or customer needsUtilize labor for VAS (value added services)Remove excessive labor for profitability and efficiencyTrack and train associates to maximize utilizationAssist in driver retention and turnoverDiscipline/CoachingMust enforce company disciplinary standards when needed and document any and all instances accordinglyMust keep all disciplinary documentation and update HR with all recordsKPI Performance Set Up and MonitoringIdentify and record performance measurements to align with customers’ goals or needsProvide format for recording measurements and update as needed to reach goalsAdd or remove goals to challenge operations to better serve the customerSite Layout, Space Management, Organization Chart, Procedures (such as sop, work instructions, flow diagrams)Assist management and engineering with site layoutContinuously monitor space needs consolidating when possibleDevelop and maintain operating documents (Work inst., flow charts, Job descriptions)Proved org chart for customer and associatesP & L Review and BudgetingProvide annual budget for management reviewMonitor P & L monthly and make necessary adjustments to sustain profitabilityDevelop Staff by Cross Training/On-Job TrainingTrain, motivate and assist in the development and growth of employeesImplement and maintain continuous improvement programChallenge employees to be more productiveCoach performance and recognize assigned team of associatesIssue Necessary Reports to Customer/LiaisonProvide reports based on customers’ needsCapture relevant information to be used during review periodsRequires eyesight and hearing for computer and forklifts in the areaRequires color-sight for color-coded items, clear speech for communicatingAbility to hear, see, and speak; in person, or by computer, telephone, 2-way radio, cell phoneHazardous material, fast-paced environment, exposure to falling objects and forklift trafficStrong analytical and problem solving ability5 to 7 Years leadership experience in Distribution, Logistics or Supply chain Management requiredFood grade facility experience, a plusAccount management experience, a plusP & L managementKnow or be able to learn WMS and customer ERP if necessaryKnowledge of Microsoft Office software required HighJump WMS experience, a plusSAP experience, a plusCompetitive CompensationCovenant’s compensation philosophy’s intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company.
