We collaborate with all businesses and teams to develop and deliver content that tells the Moody's brand story.Role/ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a director of editorial and content strategy with strong creative, writing and organizational/project management capabilities to join our growing Digital Content and Brand Experience team.You will be responsible for directing multi-channel content strategies, ensuring the creation of creative and engaging content, and orchestrating its effective interplay across different platforms to maximize audience reach and engagement.You will not only possess exceptional writing skills, but also a strong product ownership mindset, adept at coordinating multifaceted narratives across diverse functions, stakeholders, and time zones, ensuring seamless integration and project management.You are exceptional writer and editor who brings creative vision, strong project management, and a results-driven mindset to the table. It requires passion for purposeful storytelling through partnership with different stakeholders across the organization. If you are passionate about storytelling and distilling complex topics into compelling narratives, this is the role for you.As our writer and editorial director, you will play a key role in making our brand more accessible and compelling to different audiences. You will collaborate with subject matter experts in design, video, social and data visualization to develop original creative campaigns that drive engagement, as well as work across teams including Moody's business unit leaders, External and Employee Communications, Government and Public Affairs, Community Impact, Product Marketing, Legal and Compliance and experts within the business.Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop and implement a comprehensive, human-focused storytelling strategy that aligns with the company's goals and brand. Identify key themes, topics, and formats to drive engagement and thought leadership in the financial services sector. Establish editorial guidelines and standards to maintain consistency and accuracy across all content. Manage the creation of distinct types of content, including articles, reports, blog posts, newsletters, storyboards, scripts, and multimedia content. Manage the editorial calendar across the Corporate Affairs team to ensure timely delivery of content. Work closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure content supports business objectives and campaigns. Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather insights and information for content development. Conduct thorough reviews and edits of content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to editorial standards and legal guidelines. Implement a rigorous fact-checking process to maintain the credibility of content. Analyze content performance metrics and audience engagement data to inform future content strategy Optimize content based on data insights to enhance engagement and reach.Experience BA in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or related field. 10+ years in journalism, creative agency or corporate in-house writing experience taking complex topics and making them accessible to various audiences. Experience in financial services sector required. Strong project management skills and ability to track progress and milestones. A writing portfolio demonstrating experience in creating campaign concepts, original content marketing ideas, and compelling copy that tells a story. Experience of working with video production, social media, and design teams to bring ideas to life, including conducting interviews, writing treatments and scripts. Deploying a global mindset, ability to work hand in hand with various stakeholders including subject matter experts to develop content. Customer-centric orientation with deep attention to detail Excellent copyediting, communication, and project management skills with the ability to present these skills and defend writing decisions along the way A willingness to embrace and experiment with AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to accelerate relevance, productivity, and creativity Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Familiarity with project management tools include Trello and Airtable For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $160,100 to $232,100, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
