Business Engagement Liaison - BUSIN003779 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Engagement Liaison plans and coordinates employer outreach and relationship management related to providing employment and training opportunities for Adult WIOA participants. This position will work in collaboration with the Employer Engagement department and other Goodwill staff. This position will develop new community-based opportunities by marketing Adult WIOA Career Services to area employers, organizations, and internal departments. The Business Engagement Liaison will meet with potential partners and negotiate opportunities based on labor market trends. Essential duties include, but are not limited to: Establish and maintain relationships with employers, and community organizations to meet the employment and training needs of Adult WIOA participants. Collaborate with Employer Engagement Team when working with pre-established employer relationships. Share developed relationships with Employer Engagement Team. Develop new opportunities to meet the employment and training needs of participants in their communities and identify resources needed to support these initiatives, when applicable. Develop and conduct outreach activities to create and enhance relationships with community employers and the public. Provide direct service and support to employers, - including assessment of employer needs, developing desired workplace competencies, providing labor market trends, and identifying qualified candidates in coordination with Career Navigator. Status: Full-time Location: Lawrenceville Workforce Development Center - 118 52nd Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15201 External Hiring Range: $18.25-$18.98/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00am -- 4:00pm) Schedule can vary depending on department needs. Travel Required: Occasional travel may is required, to Goodwill sites in Southwestern Pennsylvania. QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent AND 5 years of experience required. OR Associates degree AND 3 years of experience required. OR Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of experience required. Required Education: Any related degree will be considered with the required experience. Required Experience: experience in any customer service field required. Preferred Experience: experience in business to business relationships, public speaking, marketing, networking experience preferred. REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS: Qualified candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel. Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
