People Customers Trust We are seeking applicants for a Bander Operator on 3rd Shift (1 Opening) in our Akron, OH facility. Salary is $20.88 per hour. Responsibilities: Operate the Bander machine and equipment which includes setup, adjustment, and clean-up. Scan barcodes and pull excess scrap from units. Ensure accuracy of unit tags, cover sheets, and stacking patterns while filling the correct number of bands per unit. Submit repair and maintenance orders and recommending operational improvements. Assume active role in overall plant and facilities-related work. Position requires assisting all jobs on the plant floor. Follow all company safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures. Maintain shop and shop equipment per 5S Standards. Other duties as assigned. May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 12 hours. Basic Qualifications: High School Graduate or GED Ability to sit, stoop, and bend. Ability to work overtime and weekends, as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications: Passionate about maintaining a safe work environment. 1+ year of experience operating a Bander machine. Experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems of essential importance. Excellent communication skills. Thrive in a cross-functional team environment. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.
