IT Business Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12 + month contract position.Responsibilities:Help support the banks progress towards business agilityWork closely with software development teams that are responsible for building & maintaining the client's technical applicationsResponsible for agile program management, reporting, requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support of various projectsAssist with general project duties such as requirements gathering, test script writing, QA/UAT testing new system capabilities, documentation writing, etc. Project Scope documentationIdentification and refinement of requirementsTracking and reporting of project status/deliverablesDocumenting and producing project artifactsManagement of project roadmapCoordination with development teams on resource allocationChange Management (scope, dates, etc.)Communication plan creation and executionSystem Testing and supporting User Acceptance TestingRelease Management SupportRequirements:5-8 years' experience as a Business AnalystGeneral technical skills -ability to write SQLUnderstands the basics of software engineering and database designSuperb communication skills - both verbal and writtenStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to quickly learn new business conceptsMust be able to identify problems and recommend solutionsDedicated sense of ownership and has the ability to deliver under tight deadlinesAbility to influence and negotiate within a matrix organizationTeam Player, but also has the ability to work independently with minimal oversightStrong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project)Jira & Confluence usageDesired skills:Previous experience working in a financial institution Agile related certifications - SAFe Scrum Master, CSM, PSMFamiliar with Enterprise Change Management best practicesDemonstrated ability to effectively manage RiskPay Range: $46.18 - $54.18Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please applyAbout Genesis10:Ranked a Top Staffing Firm in the U.S. by Staffing Industry Analysts for six consecutive years, Genesis10 puts thousands of consultants and employees to work across the United States every year in contract, contract-for-hire, and permanent placement roles.
