Summary The Junior Geophysicist will be responsible for providing fieldwork support, data processing, and quality control and assurance on collected geophysical data. The position will require both domestic and international travel as well as office work for projects and for overall business needs. Position Location: Colorado Spring, CO, with frequent field travel Reporting daily to the office unless on field travel status Roles and Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Geophysicist, you will be responsible for Planning and conducting airborne geophysical surveys using various techniques such as radiometric, magnetic, and helicopter borne TDEM electromagnetic methods. Perform processing, imaging and interpreting incoming and captured data. Conduct troubleshooting for data quality issues. Perform geophysical data quality control and assurance processes. Perform data analysis and derivative product creation. Perform depth section creation and analysis. Perform integration of geophysical data with other forms of geospatial data. Effective communication methods with staff and clients. Prepare reports and submit timely to internal and external parties. Attend meetings and training as needed to support business needs. Assist with development and research of new geospatial methods. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education Bachelor's Degree in the fields of Earth Science, Geophysics Specialization, Geological Engineering, Geophysics focus or Physics Experience / Skills Previous experience collecting, processing, and analyzing data. Computer programming skills and experience a plus. Ability to work independently or as a contributing member of a team. Must be willing to travel as needed Must have a valid current Driver's License.
