Job Title: Strategic HR Business Partner Company: Reading Rock Location: Cincinnati, Ohio Manufacturing Experience Preferred Full Benefit Package and 401K Stable Company Career Advancement Opportunities Value for Work Life Balance Recognition of Employee Contributions Job Purpose The Human Resource Strategic HR Business Partner reports to the Senior AVP, Human Resources and is an integral part of our HR Team who works to provide both strategic and tactical HR support to our organization. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Partners with Senior AVP, Human Resources to provide leadership which promotes an environment of open communications, productive working relationships, value for diversity, recognition for high performance, opportunity for training and career development, and engages employees in accountability and personal ownership for business outcomes. Administers legal compliance with all Federal and State requirements including equal Employment Opportunity, ADAA, FMLA, Military Leave, and others as required. Administers performance review process and associated metrics. Provides coaching and guidance to managers on all employee related matters including performance, attendance, leave requests, disciplinary procedures, and terminations. Conducts internal investigations related to employee complaints and employee's appropriate resolution and corrective actions. Manages Workers' Compensation program and identifies relevant BWC programs to reduce costs and ensure program and training requirements are met. Administers and schedules required employee medical testing. Company representative for workers compensation claims. Supports and assists with successful talent acquisition platform, including recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding designed to meet the company's workforce planning requirements and ensures legal compliance for all employment practices. Conducts regular employee and supervisory training on HR topics, benefits, performance management, disciplinary action, sexual harassment, safety and others. Supports and acts as back-up to the Payroll/Benefits Administrator. Assists with gathering census data and other required documents for benefit plan open enrollment and participates in annual onsite open enrollment meetings. Maintains confidentiality with all employee records including personnel files, performance evaluations, payroll records, training records, medical records and all other pertinent documents and data as necessary. Ensures compliance with document retention requirements. Follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as assigned by supervisor. Education, Knowledge, and Skills Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
