Whether you will spend your day in an office cubicle, operating a crane or running the melt shop at one of our mills, at CMC, you'll get the training and support from your team that you need to excel in your role and reach your full potential.What You'll DoDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment, hand tools and personal knowledge to determine root causeUse SAP maintenance module in the execution of duties, utilize computers to acquire information, documentation, account for time and corrective actionsDetermine grades and sizes of bolts, pipes, tubing, cables, and wiresInterpret blueprints, drawings, and schematicsMonitor and inspect equipment for defects. Properly remove defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, overhead cranes, hand, and power toolsPossess specific fundamental knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding principles, rigging, overhead cranes, gearboxes, and mobile equipment operationPrepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsWhat You'll NeedAbility to work rotating shifts which include weekends and holidaysMinimum 1 year of experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferredMinimum 3 years of field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferredAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of time in extreme temperaturesAbility to utilize precision measurement instrumentsExperience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferredYour EducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredWe are Commercial Metals Company, a Fortune500 company with a family feel that's already part of your life.
