Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Specialized Analytics Senior Analyst in New York, NY.Duties: Process and analyze large and complex data sets utilizing statistical methods to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies. Develop models using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing techniques. Formulate and implement analytics metrics to assess model performance. Create end-user applications to visualize model results in an actionable business format. Collaborate with Traders, Sales, quantitative analysts, and technology professionals to deliver complete solutions to data-related business problems in the area of Capital Markets. Identify and compile data sets using a variety of tools including Structured Query Language (SQL), KDB, and Python to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business to business outcomes. Document data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis which may include utilizing statistical models, algorithms, and data visualization techniques. Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance, and especially Model Risk Management to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure. Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related quantitative occupation in the financial services industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Querying, processing, manipulating, and transforming financial markets-related data from large and complex databases using Structured Query Language (SQL) or Python or other database technologies to perform business analytics; Working with financial products to better evaluate business partner needs and propose and deliver relevant solutions to improve business performance; Applying data science and statistical methods including feature importance, timeseries analysis, clustering, or principal component analysis to answer business questions with an empirical and research-based approach, using Python, R, or applicable data science focused programming languages; Utilizing machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for workflow process automation and providing intelligent data driven recommendations; Developing automated tools and end-user applications to visualize analytics using programming techniques in Python or analytics platforms such as Tableau; Presenting solutions with quantitative results to both business stakeholders and technology partners and collaborating on design, analysis, interpretation, and actions; and Documenting system, data, and model requirements to ensure appropriate governance, control infrastructure, and continuity. 40 hrs./wk.
