This job was posted by : For more information, please see: We are looking for aCertified Welder, who will be responsible for welding metal components using best practice according to specifications and standards. This full-time position is based out of Cashco, Inc. headquarters in Ellsworth, KS. Hours would be 6:00 am - 2:30 pm or 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Responsibilities: Perform welding operations using various techniques. Cut and shape metal components using cutting torches, saws, shears and other tools. Blueprint reading. Inspect welds and components to make sure they meet quality standards and specifications. Adhere to safety standards and protocols while working with welding equipment. Identify and resolve issues related to welding quality, equipment or material defects. Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used and time spent on tasks. Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be certified in ASME Section IX, GTAW, GMAW and SMAW. 2 plus years as an ASME Certified Welder. Experience and Skills: Must be able to pass prescribed weld test. Possess relevant certifications. Must have previous welding experience. Must be proficient in various weld techniques. Must be able to operate welding equipment. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks daily. Must have the ability to read blueprints and understand the assembly process. Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential. Basic computer knowledge. Must have the ability to adapt to shop climate changes. Must be extremely reliable and dependable. Must be a team player. Continuous movement of parts weighing up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations are required in all positions.
