Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: Renaissance School of Medicine: Surgery Location Stony Brook, New York Open Date Sep 12, 2024 Deadline Oct 12, 2024 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description Stony Brook Medicine, Department of Surgery, is seeking a dynamic experienced board-certified vascular surgeon leader to serve as the Chief of our Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Division. This is a full-time academic position at the academic rank of Associate or Full Professor. Working with the support of the Chair of the Department of Surgery, the Division Chief will be responsible for the administrative activities of the Division, including the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical, educational, and academic programs, in addition to providing guidance to all physicians and staff within the Division.The Division of Vascular Surgery at Stony Brook Medicine is a well-established and respected program, staffed by a very active, dedicated, and enthusiastic group of attendings covering all aspects of the specialty. There is an accredited vascular residency and fellowship program dedicated to the training of future leaders in the field. As the only academic, tertiary care center for well over 1.5 million individuals in Suffolk County, we care for a large and diverse patient population. As part of the Department of Surgery, the Division enjoys strong support for growth and development. Qualifications Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree (or foreign equivalent). Board Certified in Vascular Surgery and eligible for Senior Faculty appointment by the School of Medicine. Must have a New York State license to practice or be eligible for a New York State license.Preferred Qualifications:Leadership experience. Recognized expertise in any aspect of vascular and endovascular surgery. Demonstrated experience in clinical and academic program building. Strong academic track record.
