Position Details Advertising/Posting Title CHWB Front Desk Assistant/Patient Services Representative Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Posting Summary The CHWB Front Desk Assistant (FD)/Patient Services Representative ( PSR ) is the first point of contact for students seeking services and access to care at UVM . The CHWB FD/ PSR role is critical to provide a welcoming first point of contact for students. The CHWB FD/ PSR role schedules appointments and provides information to students, staff, and various university departments, both on the telephone and in person. Responsible for building clinical schedules for the Center for Health and Wellbeing ( CHWB ). Collaborate with administrative coordinators and staff in CHWB units to troubleshoot issues and provide problem resolution. Provide support to professional staff in CHWB regarding data management and compilation. Assist in determining student needs and assignment of appropriate appointments in collaboration with the counselors, providers, case managers, and other health care professionals in CHWB . Provide scheduling and logistical coordination of appointments, follow-up, confirmation, and questionnaires. Provide information to students, parents/guardians, faculty, and staff about health services offered, and how to access care. Answer questions regarding charges related to CHWB services. Support in management and maintenance of on-line appointment scheduling. Responsible for promoting an inclusive environment for students and staff of all races, ethnicities, religious, national origins, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and ages. Responsible for supporting the mission and philosophy of the CHWB , Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Associate's degree in a specific or related field. Two years of administrative office support experience preferred. Experience with electronic health records preferred. Ability to organize work priorities, plan, and adhere to structured regulations. Ability to communicate interpersonally and sensitively to human concerns. Ability to adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards, maintain a high level of discretion. Demonstrates commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Desirable Qualifications Anticipated Pay Range $22-$27/hour Other Information Special Conditions Bargaining unit position, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Background Check required for this position FLSA Non-Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate) Posting Details Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.
