Store Manager

Green Way Markets is a family-owned business, running for over 40 years, also managing Foodtown Supermarkets. The Store Manager at Green Way Markets is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the supermarket's operations to ensure exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, and maximum profitability. This position involves leadership, strategic planning, team management, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company policies and regulations. Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations of the store, including sales, inventory management, and customer service. Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability. Train, recruit and supervise store staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service. Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels to meet customer demand. Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Create employee schedules and manage payroll to ensure adequate staffing levels. Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance the store's appearance and maximize sales opportunities. Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and drive sales. Qualifications: Previous supervising experience in grocery store or similar role is required. Strong employee orientation skills to train and onboard new staff members effectively. Effective communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and stakeholders. Proficiency in math for accurate cash handling, inventory management, and financial analysis. Team management skills to motivate and lead a diverse group of employees. Sales management experience to drive sales growth and meet targets. Bilingual proficiency is a plus for effective communication with non-native English speakers. Knowledge of pricing strategies to optimize profit margins while remaining competitive in the market. Experience in stock management to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
