We put people first, care fiercely, earn trust with science and solve with courage - and have brilliant opportunities waiting for you Join us in shaping our future-and yours.Role reports to: Regional NA Sr. ManagerLocation: Skillman, NJ (Kenvue's corporate headquarters is currently located in Skillman NJ, but is scheduled to move to Summit, NJ in or around early 2025.)Travel : 10%Pay: $88,000 - 142,600What you will doThe Regional Buyer Inbound Freight is responsible for supporting the development and execution of category practices for Inbound Freight (TL, IM, Bulk, LTL, and parcel), including support of sourcing strategy definition, execution of sourcing projects i.e. tender events, and alignments with stakeholders. With a strong category focus the Inbound freight buyer drives and supports the execution of the sourcing projects and is the point of interaction between the Category Manager and the Deliver Operations team and supply chain.Responsibilities :Aligns with stakeholdersSupports the Category Manager with, and in some cases leads, the identification of suppliers, the initiation of the strategy development as well as execution of sourcing projectsActively engages with internal and external stakeholders throughout the strategy development and sourcing execution process, as well as to support any changes to daily operationsEnsures that the input from the stakeholders is considered in the processPrepares the stage gate documentationSupports and/or leads sourcingSupports the Category Manager in the analysis and definition of the category profile, incl. risk assessment and SRM strategyLeads the category spend baselineLeads with support from the Category Manager the development of Go-To-Market and negotiation strategies and ensures proper documentationLeads with support from the Category Manager the supplier screening and supplier selection processDevelops and/or assists the development of RFPsPrepares supplier communication packagesPrepares fact-based negotiation packagesPrepares implementation plansPerforms sourcing managementPerforms Category Manager activities for projects with limited complexityManages the procurement strategy implementation/sourcing execution for a less complex categoryDrives supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned from one region and making sure that the supplier builds on those lessons learned to improve service levels in another regionExecutes end-to-end sourcing projects for less complex categoriesParticipates in internal and external analysis (industry & supplier) in collaboration with Category ManagerPerforms supplier selection and fact-based negotiations, validated by the Category ManagerInvolves the business in actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation, follow-up, etc.Conducts spend map analysis to monitor spend and ensure that all purchases follow the purchasing processContinuously tracks forecasted vs. actual savings according to the Value Tracking Process for the category in scope - defines corrective/optimization actions if needed and follows up on them (escalate to Category Manager, if needed)What we are looking forRequired QualificationsThe candidate must have a University Degree in a Major Discipline i.e., Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics6 years of business experience: with 2 years of professional experience in Transportation or other related Logistics positionsUnderstanding of procurement fundamentals with experience in supporting internal and external stakeholdersDriving business insights from internal and external data sourcesThe candidate must be fluent, both in written and spoken, in EnglishDesired QualificationsKnowledge of the transportation categories in scope of the roleExperience with supplier selection, rate negotiation, and sourcing event executionWork in a global/international environmentExperience with contract negotiations and contract managementWhat's in it for youAnnual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $88,000 to $142,600 This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related petitive Total Rewards PackagePaid Company Holidays, Paid Vacation, Volunteer Time & MoreLearning & Development OpportunitiesEmployee Resource GroupsThis list could vary based on location/regionNote: Total Rewards at Kenvue include salary, bonus (if applicable) and benefits.
