This role is expected to schedule maintenance in a way that minimizes equipment downtime and impact on production. ESSENTIAL DUTIIES AND RESPONSIBILITES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Evaluate availability of materials (both internally and externally) Assures that machines are operable, and repair parts are available if machine goes down Observe associates work performance and make recommendations for improvement Ensure that all work uncovered by maintenance personnel is planned and scheduled in a timely manner Prepare time frames for Maintenance projects. Product and publish a weekly schedule for projects with manpower required. Produce and publish a monthly preventative maintenance schedule Make manpower assignments Support the implementation and maintenance of a computerized maintenance management system Plan and schedule corrective and preventative maintenance activities by task and priority level Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance departments and stock room Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system Supervise maintenance employees in all phases of training and apprenticeships (using the CMMS) Coordinate plant-wide shutdowns. Plan and prioritize maintenance work Receive and review work requests Ensure that description is complete and understandable- add missing information or return request to the writer Prepare a bill of material where appropriate Prepare and submit requisitions for required material if it is not on hand Collect material as it is received and store securely Work with designer to prepare or clarify sketches as needed Provide clear work instructions Oversee installation of new machinery/equipment Obtain quotes from outside contractors on capital and routinely scheduled projects Issue hot work, general work, and working at heights permits and perform audits to ensure compliance Oversee capital projects as assigned Set up administrative preventive maintenance schedules and programs Carry out lean sigma initiatives and 5-s initiatives Set up and maintain a record of machine histories Support plant initiatives by participating as a member of task teams and initiate and lead teams when appropriate Assist in the planning, coordination, and scheduling of all plant shutdowns Facilitates the maintenance attendance policy Update the maintenance vacation calendar on the portal Issue HEC locks Create and execute weekly maintenance meeting Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
