POSITION SUMMARY: With general supervision, responsible for any combination of calculating, posting and verifying of accounting data of moderate scope and complexity exercising some independent judgement while following well defined procedures in one or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Billing and Payroll/Labor. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Process documents such as daily labor cards, progress billings, payroll, shippers, invoices, accounts payable vouchers. Type and file vouchers, invoices, statements, reports and maintain records. Assist in the preparation of financial reports and operating statements. Maintain, check and balance records for accuracy. Assist in preparation of journal vouchers and reports. Post and balance ledgers. Interface with functional departments, management, suppliers and customers. Participate in high performance team activities and lean events. Perform other related responsibilities. JOB REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED Two years Accounting/Payroll experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Prior computer experience (Microsoft Office products) and data entry preferred. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player. Typical Mental and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit.
