Sourcing Specialist Location: CLEVELAND, OH, United States Job Family : Procurement Job Type : Regular Posted : Apr 12, 2024 Job ID: 48243 Job Description Position Summary Provide leadership for the sourcing I procurement activities for the site in support of the Parker WIN Strategy. Will develop and execute strategies within a lean enterprise environment concentrating on Talent Leadership, Customer Experience, Risk Mitigation, and Cash Generation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Promote and foster safe work environment Support multiple engagement teams across the enterprise Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to minimize risk, reduce costs, and ensure best value continuity of supply Lead team activities to meet business goals for spend aggregation, and supplier consolidation, rationalization, Responsible to drive KPI results supporting the Supply Chain Strategy goals Engage in critical or key negotiation activities Leverage and manage supplier relationships and performance Maintains in-depth knowledge of market conditions and industry trends related to business Leads Continuous Improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce costs of internal procurement processes and systems Ensure team compliance with Parker policies and procedures, and government requirements Ensures alignment and communication with other functional leaders Employs data analysis and information technology to improve business performance Collaboration and liaise with all groups across the enterprise Works with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, service as well as price. Manages key negotiations and coordinate negotiation activities with supporting functions such as Legal. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor's Degree (4 Year) in Supply Chain or Operations Management. Business, Engineering or Other Experience(s): Professional Certification - ASCM (APICS) or ISM preferred Advanced degree such as MBA preferred Minimum of 5-7 years applicable experience in procurement, finance, materials management or operations, with experience leading a team Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ariba implementation experience a plus Analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Programs Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts Understanding of lean enterprise principles and practices Less than 25% travel Parker Hannifin is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies.
