Position Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will play a key role in the purchase-to-payment (P2P) process, receiving/entering invoices, reconciling vendor accounts and responding to inquiries. This role will report to Accounting Manager. Essential Functions: Monitor all accounts to make sure payments are current and up to date for all suppliers. Ensure accurate vendor invoice processing and respond to vendor inquiries. Resolve discrepancies by cooperating with business partners and vendors. Complete monthly closing journal entries and reconciliation. Prepare reconciliation of receipts, vendor statements, and other AP reporting. Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors. Verify controls are met and we are complaint according with Parker policy. Keep track of performance to identify potential opportunities. Ability to learn and retain new concepts. Strong customer service mind-set and team player attitude. Maintain high productivity and attention to details. Continuous focus on process automation and optimization projects. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2-year degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
