Job Responsibilities: Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field Demonstrates domain knowledge with high level understanding of design processes and procedures with ability to train others Adds value by identifying and completing necessary tasks while interacting directly with customer or supplier May lead or mentor junior and/or supporting staff Applies knowledge and experience to develop/enhance designs, processes, and tools Proactively engages with customers and suppliers while building strong working relationships Focuses on completing assigned projects to meet technical objectives in budget and on schedule Creates strong network with other senior professionals internally and externally Works under general direction and within established processes/procedures Has latitude in technical decisions and approaches; seeks out specialist guidance for complex issues Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required 8+ years of engineering experience; aerospace background preferred Working knowledge of hardware development in accordance with RTCA/DO-254 Strong emotional intelligence and ability to motivate others Focus on continuous improvement Excellent communication skills to convey knowledge of subject matter, particularly in customer/supplier interaction Ability to prepare and present clear, technically accurate and documented design explanation Knowledge of Altium, Jira, DOORS, Matlab, Simulink a plus Understanding of commercially sensitive information, including how, when, and with whom to share it Proficient at working across functions within the organization Experience working in a multi-cultural/diverse organization Willing to challenge the status quo This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ['green card' holders], or have refugee or asylee status).
