A Research Assistant Professor position is available in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. This position will focus on conducting research at the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, specifically in the areas of viral oncogenesis, drug delivery, and nanomaterials. Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-quality research in viral oncogenesis, drug delivery, and nanomaterials. Assist in the development of new research projects and initiatives. Assist Principal Investigator with publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals. Present research at national and international scientific conferences. Assist with the development and submission of scientific grant applications. Mentor graduate and undergraduate students. Assist in managing the laboratory and ensuring its smooth operation. Qualifications: Extensive postdoctoral experience in relevant fields. Strong training and expertise in viral oncogenesis, drug delivery, and nanomaterials. Proven track record of publications in high-impact journals. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively. PhD in Organic Chemistry or related field required Candidates with a robust research background and a passion for advancing knowledge in the field are encouraged to apply.
