Reporting to a Project Engineer or Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and project reporting. Come and join our Heavy Civil Construction team today Essential Responsibilities: Field Engineering:Reading and interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervisionPerform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and workAssist in the preparation of work plans and work packagesSupport in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built dataWill be compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheetsParticipating in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety trainingOrder and schedule material deliveriesPlan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsiteSupervise field operations Office Engineering:Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operationsSupport Engineers in gathering and preparing data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal usePrepare purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requestedAssist in schedule maintenance and performing updates as directed by othersMaintain basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, requests for information (RFIs), and memorandumsAssist with entering data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite managementGenerate change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project ManagerProvide field support and supervise subcontractor operations Estimating:Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bidComplete a plan and specification review for an assigned project and assessing the risk areasComplete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents Qualifications:Willingness to travel to project sites and stay at site for duration of the project we operate on a national scale and projects are located in small and large citiesTwo plus years of construction field experienceWork experience in a Field Engineering position or like role such as Surveyor, Foreperson, Superintendent and/or Project CoordinatorUndergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related (is preferred)Strong computer background including experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software, such as PrimaveraExperience with other construction planning and management software (3D model viewers and/or document management systems) (is preferred)Strong communication skills, confident interacting with key contacts in verbal and written formKnowledge of main construction office processes: project set up; subcontract management; change management; RFIs (request for information) technical reviews and project closeoutHighly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiativeStrong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first timePassion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurtTeam player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectivesStrong organization, time management, and attention to detail Working Conditions:Site based positionAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)Ability to work a non-traditional schedule that could include nights and weekendsCompensation Range $64,000-$96,000 Additional Information:Company DescriptionLedcor Mining...
