Position : General Laborer First Shift Location : Franklin, Massachusetts Requisition ID: : 27001 Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is excited to announce an opening for a General Laborer 1 st . shift position We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay with great growth opportunities External Candidate -$1,500.00 sign-on bonus 1st Shift 5:00 am to 3:30 pm Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday OFF. GENERAL PURPOSE Perform a variety of general duties of a basic, repetitive, and/or manual nature that are relevant to the work area(s) being supported. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist operators as necessary. Load and/or unload materials, ingredients, parts, products, cases, crates, and pallets. Move, stack, or place items on conveyor manually or by mechanized means. Deliver production or area specific items to designated work areas for processing. Pack products in crates or boxes by hand. Sort, bundle, and fill containers or place in assembled units. Mark or put identifying labels on product loads. Construct or de-construct shipping boxes. Maintain general housekeeping of the assigned area. Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly. Report quality and operational issues or irregularities to supervisor as they occur. Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding. health and safety issues Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate. regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Other duties may be assigned as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred. Certification and/or License - may be required during course of employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Able to follow directions and carry out instructions. Able to effectively work in a team environment. Able to legibly write entries for record keeping. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must be able to read, write and speak English. An Equal Opportunity Employer
