We are seeking a skilled Corporate Business Development Proposal Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling and persuasive bid proposals for waste management contracts. This role requires a keen understanding of municipal procurement, excellent writing and organizational skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.Develop and assemble a high-quality bid proposal in response to RFPs and other tender documents.Develops and establishes a repository of templates, standard language, product collated, exhibits and other data resources to create high quality and accurate responses. Research and maintain all procurement websites with Company footprint and ensure Company’s enrollment. Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to gather necessary information for bid proposals to ensure the proposals accurately reflect our capabilities and services.Prepare and present bid proposals and supporting documentation to decision-makers and review committees.Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure the proposals accurately reflect our capabilities and services.Analyze bid requirements and help tailor proposals to meet the specific needs of each client.Ensure all bid submissions comply with local, state, and federal regulations as well as municipal policies and standards.Maintain accurate records of bid submissions, contracts, and correspondence.Maintain and update a library of standard bid documents, case studies, and other supporting materials.establishes tracking system with win-loss information. Reviews and analyzes RFP losses to recommend enhancements to products of processes.Provide recommendations for improving bidding processes and strategies based on performance analysis.Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategies.Address inquiries and provide clarification on bid documents and processes.Attend meetings and presentations as needed to support bid processes.Provide training and guidance to internal teams on bid preparation and submission procedures.Required education and experienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or a relevant work experienceProven experience in bid management, proposal writing, or contract administration, preferably in the waste management or municipal sector.Strong understanding of municipal procurement processes and regulations.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Proficient in PowerPoint.CompetenciesAbility to write clearly and concisely, avoiding jargon and ensuring that complex information is easily understood.Skill in crafting arguments that highlight the strengths and unique selling points of the proposal.Effective in managing time and resources to meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in organizing information, coordinating with various stakeholders, and managing multiple bids simultaneously.Ability to adapt to changing requirements, deadlines, and project scopes.Ability to identify potential challenges in the bid process and develop creative solutions to address them.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
