Additionally, they will work closely with hospital management and administration, to provide leadership and mentorship to department staff. Please consider applying to discuss how your availability may align.Assist in Daily Operations: Support the Food Service Manager in the day-to-day operations of the food service department, including meal preparation, serving, and sanitation.Staff Supervision: Supervise and train food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen aides. Schedule shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.Quality Control: Monitor and ensure the quality and presentation of food served, ensuring it meets hospital standards and dietary requirements. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and adherence to safety protocols.Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing food supplies. Track and control food costs to adhere to budgetary constraints.Patient and Staff Interaction: Address and resolve any food-related concerns or complaints from patients, staff, or visitors. Collaborate with dietitians to ensure dietary needs and restrictions are met.Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation procedures, and infection control practices.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to food service operations, including temperature logs, cleaning schedules, and staff training documentation.Key Qualities: We're Looking ForProficiency in communication and a willingness to learn.Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with food safety regulations, dietary guidelines, and nutritional standards.Understanding of inventory management and cost control.Embrace changes in healthcare processes, adapting to a dynamic healthcare environment
