In this role, you’ll work on the removal of water tanks, an effort that directly improves public safety and the environment by eliminating outdated structures that may pose contamination risks. This work is essential in enhancing water quality and protecting the surrounding ecosystem, making a tangible difference in the health of our communities.*Travel to Manhattan and Staten Island needed.Responsibilities:Maintenance of construction project recordsInterface with the Resident Engineer and Senior inspection staff on various facets of the project including: contract change orders, item payments, and material testingPerform onsite inspections, prepare daily reports, punch lists, and other construction phase-related documentsAttend project meetingsAssist with preparation of meeting reportsAssist with preparation of monthly progress reports and maintain project logsPerform review of daily inspection reports and quantity computationsAssist in determining schedule and budget requirementsAssigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, or administrative staffAssist in preparation of technical specifications, the scope of work, design drawings, engineer's estimate, RFPs, etc.Review design drawings and assist in developing recommendationsReview project submittals, RFP responses, change orders, and other project-related documentsQualificationsHighschool diploma3-5 years related experience.Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power-Point, and Outlook).Proficiency with Construction Management, Scheduling and Document Management software preferred.Proficiency with drafting software AutoCADOSHA 10 or above.Excellent communication skills.Must possess a driver’s license to fulfill the essential functions of the positionAtGannett Fleming, we believe inimprovingthe lives of the people we serve.
