If Temporary or Grant Funded, Start Date and End Date Position Description/Posting Details FA157PSTLa Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania PA is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor and Director of its CACREP-accredited Master's Program in Professional Clinical Counseling beginning August 2025. The position is for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track position with a 12 month secondary administrative appointment that includes a stipend for leading the M.A. Program. This faculty position is contingent on the incumbent serving in the Director role. Strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of the M.A. Program Ensure compliance with CACREP accreditation requirements and serve as the program's CACREP liaison Oversight of personnel and faculty associated with the M.A. Program Oversight of program marketing, admissions, student evaluation, curriculum, budget, inquiries, and program development Acting as liaison with University administration Coordinating shared resources with Director of Marriage and Family Therapy M.A. Program COAMFTE-accredited Teaching classes as a core faculty member in the M.A. Program with the option to teach summer courses for overload pay. The contractual teaching load is 24 credits per academic year with course reduction given for the secondary appointment as Director. Scholarly research, service to the University, and service to the profession of counseling are also required Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to build community within the PCC and MFT programs. The ideal candidate will have a social justice orientation to teaching and practice, with an agenda to support and empower marginalized communities within and beyond La Salle Collaborate with the Director of the MSW program on course rostering Perform other duties as assigned as it relates to the growth of the program. Teach undergraduate courses in the Psychology program as part of the faculty load or overload Doctorate Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, Counselor Education and Human Development, or a closely related doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited doctoral program preferably from a program with a mental health counseling specialty. ABD candidates will be considered but the completion of all degree requirements must be satisfied prior to the start date. Leadership, program coordination, or administrative experience preferably of a counseling program Experience teaching mental health counselors-in-training The ability to articulate a solid identity as a counselor and counselor educator License-eligible as an LPC in the state of Pennsylvania A commitment to the Lasallian mission and Core Values. More information about the mission and Core Values can be found here: - Experience with oversight of a CACREP-accredited program and/or the reaccreditation process Strong record of teaching and commitment to experientially-based clinical education Active membership and engagement with counseling professional organizations e.g., ACA, Divisions of ACA, CSI, AMHCA, AASECT, state counseling associations Continued clinical work, sup rvision, and/or consultation via private practice or an agency A record of social advocacy and/or demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and social justice initiatives Evening hours will be required, since the MA Program courses run 4:30-7 pm & 7:30-10 pm in the Fall/Spring and 6-9:30 pm in the Summer. Other MA Program activities e.g., Orientation, Diversity Forum, Honor Society events, Recruitment events are also held on weekday evenings.
