The BEST work with us!Salary: $40,000A nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, with over 60 programs across New York City and the greater New York Area.Samaritan Daytop Village serves over 33,000 New Yorkers annually within your neighborhoods and communities, so our success depends on those we employ.The RoleThis role performs a wide variety of administrative support tasks for the Human Resources department and shares responsibilty in maintaining all human resources information systems. This includes maintaing the integrity of employee records, fielding employee inquiries and document management. This work is in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.What You Will DoEnsures employee inquiries are responded to, which includes answering questions received verbally or via electronic method, and/or routing employee inquiry to appropriate HR team member or otherwise.Processes all information entered in the HRIS systems in a timely manner. This includes but is not limited to new hire information, promotions, transfers, terminations, and salary adjustments. Confirms data accuracy and integrity, as well as updates the employee personnel files including, introductory & annual performance evaluations, background checks, education, licenses, and certification information.Responds to HRIS Helpdesk inquiries.Files HR paperwork related to personnel files, paper and electronically.Verifies employment for current and former employees, which includes verifying hours worked.Compile and prepare documents pertaining to personnel activities for agency audits.Provide exit interview information, sends separation notices and status change letters to employees.Who You Will BeHigh School Diploma or equivalent. At least 2 years of administrative experience. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to be flexible and adaptable.Collaborative team player, possess a strong customer service orientation and be a consultative problem solver.
