Job DescriptionASSISTANT STATION MANAGERSUMMARY:Responsible for the proper handling of livestock that includes: sorting, counting, weighing, and tattooing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be capable of regular and predictable attendanceAble to work overtime as neededAble to work weekends and holidays as neededMaintain accurate inventory of livestockSortingLoading/unloadingSupervise and coordinate yard personnel Hauling livestockPerforms other duties as needed and/or assignedFills in for Station Manager when neededAdministrative responsibilitiesQUALIFICATIONS:Valid driver's license and insurable under company guidelinesMay be required to obtain a CDLMaintain certification and follow all TQA Guidelines in the Humane Handling of LivestockGeneral Maintenance of grounds, facilities, and equipmentAlleyways, pens, and chutesVehicles and skid steersMowing and weedingWork well with livestock customers and plant personnelBENEFITS:Health, Life, Short & Long term Disability, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Flex Spending Plan, Wellness Program, EAP, Paid Holidays, Paid Vacations, Paid Sick Days, Competitive Wage and Great People to work with!WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment and physical characteristics are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
