This is a job for a Cost Price Analyst II (Remote) with a company located in the Jackson, MS area. Job Summary: The Cost Price Analyst reviews and evaluates contractor cost and price proposals for reasonableness, allowability; and allocability of direct and indirect costs. The Cost Price Analyst establishes a pricing objective for us to use in contract negotiations for awarding initial contracts or for evaluating changes occurring during the progress of the contract. Responsibilities: Analyzes data and supplier proposals to determine fair and reasonable pricing as well as compliance with US Government pricing regulations. Conducts fact-finding as needed to review the basis of estimates and source documentation verifying proposal cost estimates. Reviews technical analyses and audit reports to assist in the evaluation of price/cost reasonableness. In addition, supports price negotiations held with the supplier. Uses industry techniques and practices to establish fair and reasonable pricing positions and negotiation ranges. Reviews subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and services. Utilizes expertise in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) Supplements, with a solid working knowledge of FAR Part 15. Also utilizes knowledge of Title 10 CFR 600. May function in an advisory or leadership role providing direction to professional staff; may participate in the selection, development, and training of all levels of professional procurement staff. Utilizes analytical, verbal, and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings. Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Utilizes MS Office Suite, SAP, and other applications. Other projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of 2 years of directly related government, industrial, or aerospace experience OR Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a minimum of 0years of directly related government, industrial, or aerospace experience, or equivalent (Associate Degree with a minimum of 6 years of directly related government, industrial or aerospace experience, OR completion of high school or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of directly related government, industrial experience. Purchasing or subcontracting experience preferred. Knowledge and competence in the concepts, principles, and standard practices of defense/government contracting costing and pricing. Ability to negotiate and work in a government contracting environment and be able to analyze and solve a variety of moderately complex costing problems. Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written and be computer literate with knowledge of computer applications relevant to the position, including spreadsheet applications.
