ABOUT THE POSITIONVHB’s Tampa, Florida office is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development planning and design team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope.Our Tampa Land Development group focuses on site development, stormwater management, utility design, permitting and construction oversight for a wide range of projects. Our past and present clients include commercial, office, residential, industrial and hospitality developers; higher education and healthcare institutional entities; and state and local government agencies. ResponsibilitiesWork within a team of professionals under an experienced Engineer-of-Record assisting to develop site civil engineering plans, calculations, and specifications for diverse land development projects throughout the State of FloridaAssist in the preparation of permitting documentsPreparation and/or reviewing design criteria, drawings, and specificationsProvide construction observation services for project certificationSkills and AttributesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-motivatedAttention to detailAbility to think criticallyTeam oriented with a strong capability to work independentlyQualificationsBS in Civil Engineering or related field0-1 year of experienceEngineer Intern (EI) certification preferred, specifically in FloridaSome AutoCAD experience, preferably in Civil 3DExperience or some familiarity with typical stormwater and utility modeling software preferredWe are VHB!We’re an inspired and innovative team of engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments.
