Visit us at You Are: Accenture is seeking a collaborative and results-oriented Procurement Practice Manager, with expertise in the Packaging category, to work with Fortune 500 clients to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support each company's business goals while achieving optimal pricing, quality and service levels. In this capacity, you will have substantial involvement in supporting sales and solution design and in helping procurement organizations expand their involvement and control of non-traditional spend areas. The Work: NETWORKING Pursue and develop senior level stakeholder relationships at priority accounts and prospective clients to support account development initiatives Grow or maintain relationships with leading suppliers and bid participants and collaborate with key players in the market through trade conferences, webinars and client-workshops ADVISOR Build-out and maintain market and supplier intelligence as it relates to your categories Provide advice as a trusted advisor both internally within Accenture and externally towards our clients with regards to the purchasing, sustainability and cost-reduction offerings within your categories INNOVATION & GROWTH Identify and propose account growth opportunities for additional sourcing services based on your networking relationships at priority accounts or prospective clients Expand the offerings available across your categories to incorporate Artificial Intelligence solutions and/or next-generation Procurement methods and technologies DELIVERY EXCELLENCE Advise on ways to efficiently and effectively execute all key steps of the strategic sourcing process for Packaging Ensure project management resources are delivering projects in support of practice excellence and client objectives/direction PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT Mentor and develop sourcing and category management resources on category-specific spend and project management tools and processes with an emphasis on supplier collaboration, customer focus, delivery excellence, continuous improvement, negotiations and contracting Grow team management skills, coaching team members in the art of Negotiation and Contracting Here's What You Need: Minimum of 8 years of experience in consulting, sourcing/procurement/supply chain management function Bonus Points: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Consultancy, sourcing and/or category management experience, within a Fortune 500 organization, specifically in the field of in-direct procurement related to Packaging spend or delivery from the supplier side including corrugated packaging, flexible packaging, rigid packaging, drums, pallets, etc. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a wide range of Packaging sub-categories Ability to effectively lead formal strategic sourcing efforts related to Packaging Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and/or suppliers Well-developed, solution-oriented selling skills Ability to drive transformational change Excellent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills Solid multi-phase project management skills Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization platforms Strong ability to effectively manage in a matrix organizational structure working with multiple internal clients Travel Requirements: Ability to travel up to 30% is required to support client projects or continuing education Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
