Responsibilities include organizing, maintaining, and analyzing multiple company's accounting records, general ledger accounts and financial statement. Additional job responsibilities are outlined below:Prepare journal entries, analysis and participating in monthly close processes.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Prepare sales tax returns and reconciliation periodically as prescribed by taxing authority and accounting calendar.Respond to information requests and review financial statements.Support the annual financial audit and other state and local regulatory requirements.Document new processes or procedures and update existing standard operating procedures.QualificationsAssociate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting or equivalent work experienceExperience: 2+ years' work experience in AR, AP or as a staff accountantProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Great Plains software experience preferred, but not required.Heavy in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups)Exceptional analytical skills to assess problems and develop solutions.Excellent judgement, strong organizational skills and a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to function effectively in meeting deadlines and follow through. Ability to manage high volume activity during busy times of the month/year. Intermediate level or higher computer skills in a paperless environmentAbility to deal with frequent change, or unexpected events in a professional and diplomatic manner.
