POSITION SUMMARY Vertiv, a datacenter cooling & power infrastructure company headquartered in Westerville, OH, is seeking a Pre-sales technical leader to help define and refine global strategic account (GSA) customer modular solution needs. Solutions will include utility interfaces and transformers, gear, UPS, batteries, PDU, STS and busway. They may also include liquid cooling considerations. The work product would then be industrialized by the modular solutions team. The position requires competencies in data center design, thermal solutions, electrical solutions, as well as customer and presentation skills to deliver custom solutions to meet demanding customer business challenges. RESPONSIBILITIES Creation, control, review and approval of technical solutions and customer proposals. Communicate with both external and internal customers as well as offering management to identify any product gaps that would limit our ability to deliver the requirements. Provide Sales staff with technical assistance and support for technical documentation and customer facing presentations and engagements including leading customer communications. Produce technical proposals, design documentation, and project proposals to support the design process and delivery to customers. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required. Engineering degree preferred. At least 8 years' work experience in data center design and applications. Power design or applications experience required. Needs to be nimble and able to work thru what-if scenarios with customers. Solid communication skills, both written and oral, to work with customers and across multiple engineering and manufacturing teams to bring architectures and concepts to product deployment. Customer interaction to transition thoughts and concepts into solutions and delivering that interaction through documented specifications and presentations. TRAVEL REQUIRED Travel 25% The anticipated salary range for this role in the CO, CT, NYC, CA, WA, HI, and Washington DC locality is between $155k to $172,500k per year salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. This role also comes with monthly Sales Incentive, SIP at a 80/20 split. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role. The role is eligible to participate in a comprehensive and competitive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, disability, PTO, holiday pay, and 401k. Additional details about total compensation and benefits will be provided during the hiring process.
