This position is located in New Haven, CT and has a schedule of Tuesday- Saturday from 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly rate budgeted for new hires in this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hourWhy you will love Jordan's Furniture:Great Benefits - medical, dental, vision and more!Weekly PayUnique CultureEmployee DiscountOn site gym & cafeteriaWhy you will love this job:Team atmosphere - We’re all family here!Fast paced physical environment - Cancel that gym membership.Stable work environmentResponsibilities we trust you to perform:Maintains and repairs a variety of equipment and systems such as furniture lifts, plumbing, entertainment venues, energy management, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, carpentry, as well as daily operationsTroubleshoots and performs routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of facility systems and equipment (e.g. water, power distribution, exhaust, fire alarms, emergency procedures, gas and electrical distribution, fans, motors, blowers, pumps and sprinklers)Performs a daily walk-through of the facility with designated listsAssists with facilities projects as necessary (e.g. location of facility systems, zones, water & power distribution, and pick up, store or distribute stock)Updates computerized ticketing system with status of work completedOperates and repairs equipment such as forklifts, maintenance vehicles, and tow motorsUses and maintains tools and equipment in accordance with company and OSHA safety standards and Jordan’s safety protocolsAny other function or responsibility as assigned by the SupervisorWhat you bring to the table:3-5 years experience in related work.Requires working knowledge of the operation of all company equipment and pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, carpentry, and electrical systemsAbility to update computerized ticketing systemMust be able to read and communicate effectively in EnglishMust possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to be able to drive to other locations to performwork dutiesMay be required to successfully fulfill DOT certificationHappy, healthy employees are our goal, and our benefits help J-Team members balance physical, financial, professional, social and emotional well-being.Thisis a unique opportunity to join a proud and GROWING Berkshire Hathaway company that is well-known in the industry for its employee-focused culture.
