If you would like to start an exciting job with a company committed to excellence and innovation, all while doing what we do, please consider joining the UCP of Central PA team!When it comes to where you work, we know you’ve got choices…here’s what we provide:Position Status: Full-time, 37.5 hours per weekSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pmBenefits may include: Medical, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Retirement Plan with Company Match, Life and Disability Insurance, Company Contributions to Your Health Savings Account, Paid Time Off, and more!Same day pay available with Tapcheck!As a non-profit employer, UCP participates with the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program - full-time employees may be eligible for the remaining balance on their Direct Loans to be forgiven!Here’s what to expect as a Development Specialist:Complete ongoing donor prospecting, research, and analysis.Develop and maintain an individual giving program to build a base of annual agency support that is independent of special events and corporate support.Define and deliver a corporate solicitation/major gift program that includes both special event support and overall agency program support that meets the interests and needs of the corporate donor.Facilitate grant and foundation research and applications that support new and innovative programs, as well ongoing operational needs.Through effective Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) practices, ensure that community groups, community leaders, corporations, associations, organizations, donors, and key volunteers are engaged and retained for support of the UCP mission.Develop, establish, and host a variety of cultivation events and regular donor/volunteer stewardship activities that bring people closer to the Agency, such as volunteer tours and events, networking events, and other specific donor cultivation programs.Maintain, and/or execute a variety of special events that attract new and diverse audiences; and establish a process to cultivate, nurture, and grow event supporters.Assist with the planning and execution of the digital media strategy for UCP.Serve as a backup for maintaining the donor/volunteer database, recording gifts, ensuring timely receipt of gifts, invoicing when necessary, and coordinating gift reconciliation with the Fiscal Department. Minimum requirements as a Development Specialist:Associate’s degree or technical certification within a related area expected.2 to 5 years of previous job-related experience expectedPrevious knowledge and/or experience with fundraising, donor relations, and appeal writing18 years of ageA valid driver’s licenseAccess to vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspectionAbility to communicate, read, write, and interpret EnglishPreferred, but not required:Experience with marketing, communications, writing, fund development and donor management.If you are still reading, we should talk!
