Join the team at American Collectors Insurance, where passion meets protection! We are looking for Collector Insurance Specialists to join our underwriting team. Collector Insurance Specialists at American Collectors work directly with policy holders, agents and brokers who utilize our call center for support or service needs on existing and/or new policies. We expect them to provide the best possible customer service while maintaining our underwriting integrity. This role requires an active Property & Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license as well as prior insurance experience (ideally sales and service), a passion for client interaction, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role can be done in-office, hybrid or fully virtual from anywhere in the continental US. Our office is located in Cherry Hill, NJ. In this role you will: Communicate directly with policy holders, agents and brokers on new and existing business via phone and email Maintain our underwriting integrity by adhering to company underwriting standards and philosophyConduct risk analysisDetermine eligibilityQuote and bind new businessMake changes to in-force policiesAnswer back-to-back inbound callsMake outbound calls for as needed follow-ups and reply to customer inquiries Establish relationships and follow up with customersProvide prompt, accurate and friendly customer serviceAbout the company: American Collectors Insurance has been specializing in collector car insurance policies since 1976. Compensation: $50-58k/yr depending on experience level, overtime eligible (not required)Benefits: health insurance (medical, dental, vision), flexible spending & health savings accounts, life insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, overtime availability, employee referral programWeekly Schedule: 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday with rotating Saturday (about 1 every 4 weeks)Demonstrate high level of responsiveness and focus on providing our customers and brokers with a superior level of serviceProcess/close the sales on new businessPerform changes to in-force policiesIdentify coverage comparison, program highlights and values, and effectively communicate to close the saleComplete necessary documentation quickly and efficiently Follow and adhere to underwriting compliance and service standardsConduct risk analysis and evaluate underwriting quality of applicantsEvaluate application factors/details to appropriately match premium to underwriting riskExpected to be on phones 100% of the time for mostly in-bound calls and as-needed outbound follow-up callsReceive inbound calls from policy holders and agents/brokers needing service on existing policies or inquiring about new businessMake outbound calls for service follow-ups and reply to new business inquiries, people who have asked for our help and are expecting a call from usCreate and maintain relationships with customers and brokersBuild trust and credibility quicklyMeet all production goalsEscalate complex risks to Senior Underwriters to review/evaluatePrior insurance sales experienceActive P&C or Personal Lines producer licensePrior experience with CRM systemsStrong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze available information to make decision in alignment with our risk appetiteStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectivelyStrong ability to work independently as part of a virtual teamPositive customer and quality focus#LI-BD1#LI-Remote
