Discover endless opportunities to grow and make your mark at Hines.As a Painter for Multifamily with Hines at The Lumen, you will handle various painting projects within an assigned property. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Respond to work orders or instructions from supervisor regarding painting and wall repair.Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structuresInstall drywall, float and finish.Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler, using caulking gun and putty knife.Select premixed paints, or mix required portions to prepare paint that matches specified colors.Remove fixtures, such as pictures and electric switch covers, from walls prior to painting, using screwdriver.Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces, such as baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.Paint surfaces, using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers.Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects.Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.Hang wallpaper and fabrics.Minor maintenance/repair related items may be assigned, and other maintenance related tasks as assigned.Minimum Requirements include:High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution preferred.Two or more years’ experience of direct experience.Excellent written, verbal and customer service skillsExcellent time management skillsUse olfactory, auditory, and visual sensesLift 25 lbs. or moreClimb up and down stairs and laddersAccess remote work areas and confined spaces (i.e., crawl spaces, roofs)Use full range of manual dexterity (i.e., sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, walking, and lifting)Meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property; shifts may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and some holidaysWork overtime as business needs deem appropriateAt Hines, we strive for excellence as a leading global real estate investment manager, driven by our by our belief that real estate is fundamentally about people.
