JOB SUMMARY Responsible for supporting the corporate mission, vision and values of the Medical Center. Responsible to Nursing Department for following all department and hospital policies, procedures and standards of care and practice. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service. RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIESMaintains Pharmacy Inventory (purchasing and procurement)Establishes and maintains adequate purchasing records in accordance with state and federal agencies.Performs Pharmacy Technician duties as assigned.Assists in formulating, interpreting and administering departmental policy and procedure.Performs other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum Qualifications:High school graduate or GED required. Completion of ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program resulting in national certification required. After completion of course employee must register with the State of Ohio as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Must be completed within six (6) months of date of hire. A valid Ohio Driver's License and proof of current insurance is required.Registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician issued by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy required. LICENSURE, REGISTRATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONCertification in Pharmacy by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred or obtain certification within one and one-half years from date of hire.
