We are offering a career opportunity with hands-on training, mentoring, and professional development.Main Responsibilities (but not limited to) the following:Perform duties associated with the oversight, administration and inspection of transportation projects including roadway and/or bridge to determine contractor’s compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications.Maintain detailed records of the contractor's daily operations and events that affect the work; monitor and inspect contractor's work zone temporary traffic control plan and review modifications to the plan.Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.Perform sampling and testing of materials and completed work in accordance with the construction contract.Oversee activities, inspections, reports, and documentation performed by CEI Inspectors.Assist the Project Oversight/Project Administrator.Provide mentorship and support to less experienced team members while serving as lead inspector on multi-inspector projectsResponsible for timely communication of events of note and general progress directly to Project Oversight/Project Administrator.Education, experience, licensure, and skillsHigh School Diploma4 year’s experience in construction inspectionMust pass mandatory DMV checkFDOT experience preferredCertifications:CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level ICTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level ICTQP Asphalt Roadway Level IICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level ICTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level IICTQP Pile Driving Inspection (Desired)CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection (Desired)IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I (Desired)CTQP Final Estimates Level IFDOT Intermediate MOTNuclear Radiation SafetyFDOT Critical Structures Construction Issues Self StudyFlorida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and ContractorsNV5 offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, life insurance, PTO, 401(k) and professional development/advancement opportunities. #INDHPNV5 provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
