Guest’s first and last point of contact with a Chickie’s & Pete’s Team Member and there for the service they provide is critical to starting and ending the guest’s experience in a positive manner.This role pays between 9-12 per hour and is tip eligible.Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadlinePPL Center is a state-of-the-art multipurpose arena in downtown Allentown, PA and home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The arena seats more than 10,000 for concerts and more than 8,500 for Lehigh Valley Phantoms professional hockey games, making it the region’s largest events venue.The amenities-packed PPL Center hosts more than 150 events each year, offering something for everyone, including the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, the AHL affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers, live concerts, family shows, trade shows, youth sports, high school and collegiate events, conferences, graduations, and so many more. Chickie’s & Pete’s is a full-service bar and restaurant located within PPL Center, serving lunch Tuesday through Friday and open for events.Ensure that the foyer and host area is clean and neat at all timesSmile and maintain a positive attitude at all timesGreet guests in a warm, friendly and professional mannerWhen possible, seek out guests personally when their table is ready rather than making an announcementAccompany guests to their tables and let them know who their server will beInform guests about new menu items/specials, entertainment and area eventsCommunicate with staff to ensure seating of guests occurs as per the organized seating chart in an order that does not overload the kitchen or a particular serverAnswer the phone in a friendly and professional manner. Always remember the person on the other end is a potential guestRespond appropriately to guest complaints; bring any issues to management’s attentionAccompany guests who are there for a party to the appropriate party areaCarefully pack all to-go ordersPerform cashier functions for take-out orders and merchandiseStock all retail items and take inventory as neededPerform marketing and other promotional services as neededClean, clear and set tables as neededComplete beginning, change, and end of shift side dutiesKeep restrooms clean and stocked at all timesThank all guests for coming as they leave the restaurantHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredMust be 16 or overExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guestsAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays, and long hoursAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environmentPrevious cash handling experience preferred.Ability to learn to operate a cash register and corresponding system accurately.Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials.
