As a host you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.This role will pay an hourly rate between $18.Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.Ensemble Arts Philly is home to a wide variety of genres including Broadway, comedy, theater, jazz, dance, and family presentations across three iconic venues: the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Miller Theater.Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a genuine smile and eye contact; escort them to assigned dining area; present menus; announce waiter's nameUse visual cues to seat Guests in either the bar or dining area, depending on their preferenceInform Guest who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staffAnswer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate serviceManage the flow of Guests into the Dining and Bar areas and provide accurate wait times to incoming Guests if appropriateTend to special Guest needs and requestsObservant to Guests' needs throughout the dining experience to ensure they receive high-quality service (e.g., noticing a drink refill is needed while seating another Guest and ensuring the drink is refilled prior to getting back to the door).Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol control policiesHelp dining room staff by setting and clearing tables, replenishing water, and serving beveragesIssue dining charges by verifying orders, calculating taxes, and totaling bills for to-go ordersReceive payments by validating credit charges, approving checks, accepting currency, and calculating and issuing change for ToGo ordersReconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions; listing checks and credit card charges for to-go ordersContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededHigh school diploma or GEDPrior customer service experience in the hospitality industryPositive attitude and interpersonal skillsGood communication skills and phone etiquetteFlexibility when working alternating shiftsAbility to stand for long periods of timeSkillful communicatorAdaptabilityGood time management skillsAt OVG, we understand that to continue positively disrupting the sports and live entertainment industry, we need a diverse team to help us do it.
