The Senior Welding Inspector is responsible for confirming that fabricated parts meet requirements using various measurement techniques. Performs a variety of complicated tasks and can handle unique requests and opportunities. This senior position relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Location: Brooklyn Park MNTravel 50-75%Compensation: $35-40/hrInspection of fabricated vessels and skidded systemsInstallation of internal vessel components and assembliesSubmits inspection, photos, and other reports as required for each inspectionMaintain good working relationships with supplier quality control personnelIn-house inspection of fabricated partsIn-house fabrication of PVC internal vessel components and assembliesReview welding procedures and specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirementProvide guidance and support to welding personnel to ensure that welding activities are performed in accordance with industry standards and specificationsCertification from a trade school, preferably in welding preferred5-7 years of experience in weldingAWS - Certified welding inspector (CWI)Knowledge of ASTM, ASME and D1.1Knowledge of Welding procedure specification (WPS), Welder qualification test record (WQTR), Procedure qualification record (PQR)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:· Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.· Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.· Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.· Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of timeUsing upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.EEO/AA/F/M/Vet/Disabled
