Inventory Clerks report to the Inventory Supervisor and are responsible for assisting with tasks related to warehouse organization, inventory counts, and inventory reportsOrganizing Warehouse:Works with inventory control team and leadership to keep warehouse organized by ensuring locations are designated for product so it can go back to proper location after use.Ensures FEFO / FIFO practices are being followed and review warehouse for expired product on a regular basis by walking storage coolers and auditing pallet placementMakes sure that the red crates are not placed in storage locations except freezer in the production lanes, and designated WIP cage/cooler.Organizes warehouse in conjunction with inventory control team under the direction of inventory supervisor for current and upcoming menu plans.Tracks all product movement once moved from receiving dock to assigned cooler until final disposition.Discards product that won’t be used prior to expiration date, provide starting inventory for Procurement, and ensure all reworked product comes back taped with putback label showing all information for product applied to side of box for visibilityMonitors waste and reports what can be salvaged or returned for credit to the inventory supervisorFills out waste tracking form as needed during inventory counts to ensure accurate reporting of adjustmentsCreates space to ensure stocking efficiency and preparation for upcoming menu itemsCompleting Counts:Assists with all inventory countsReports product and quantity discrepancies based on expected receipts to Inventory Supervisor for further communication to warehouse manager and procurement teamsCommunicates potential shorts to Inventory Supervisor and Procurement and warehouse teamsConfirm product and quantity received; reporting any errors to warehouse manager and procurement teamsConvert product to standard case sizes as neededCross-Functional Responsibilities:Follow the facility GMPs and help enforce them throughout the facilitySupport the efforts of the company to maintain our food safety system (SQF) and quality programsFollow all safety guidelines and policiesWear all required personal protective equipment as directedReport any safety issues to leadershipThis position requires 0% travel.General high school degree, or equivalentAbility to count large quantities of product in the form of individual items, cases, and palletsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAverage computer skills, especially in word and excelAbility to problem solve and balance priorities in a fast paced environmentForklift certified or ability to use pallet jack; willing to trainMust be available to respond to work related inquiries nights and weekendsHourly Range: $18.50 - $25
