Experis is partnered with an innovative technologies organization supporting federal missions and empowering agency personnel to solve unique government challenges in their search for a Senior Accountant to join their team in Reston, VA. Responsibilities: Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Prepare standard and recurring journal entries Reconcile cash transactions on a daily basis, prepare cash receipt entries, and cash disbursement support Prepare account reconciliations and follow up on any reconciling items, to include but not limited to understanding of cash, prepaids, accruals, contract access fees, lease accounting, and payroll accruals Perform detailed analysis of GL accounts and trends documented in analytic files Assist in gathering documentation to support tax reporting Assists in gathering documentation for various auditors and requests by regulatory agencies Understand and maintain accounting policy documents Performs other accounting related duties as assigned by management Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related experience Experience in Microsoft Excel 5+ years of experience in accounting related position in government contracting Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Self-starter with and solid communication skills Preferred Qualifications: CPA Deltek Costpoint and/or Unanet Understanding of government contract billing process About ManpowerGroup, Parent Company of: Manpower, Experis, Talent Solutions, and Jefferson Wells ManpowerGroup® (NYSE: MAN), the leading global workforce solutions company, helps organizations transform in a fast-changing world of work by sourcing, assessing, developing, and managing the talent that enables them to win.
